Our Museum Exploration programs are chaperone-led experiences that encourage students to dig for information with a variety of challenges and objectives. Our self-guided tours start with a brief introduction from a Museum Docent who will provide the appropriate resources for your program, then students have the freedom to explore the Museum with their chaperone! Our docent tours take you through exhibit highlights, illustrating important facts and interesting stories behind the history of flight.

Strange and Amazing Aircraft Investigation – 3rd grade and younger

Students receive an illustrated booklet to use as they discover and analyze a wide range of aircraft designs for the most interesting, strange and amazing aircraft in The Museum of Flight.   Docent introduced, Chaperone led

Flying Through Time – 4th to 6th graders

From the oldest aircraft to modern jets, students explore aviation history, science, and technology in The Museum with specially designed booklets that guide them to discover, question and extend their thinking about the development of aviation.  Docent introduced, Chaperone led

Dream of Flight Tour – 7th grade and older

From the earliest dreams of flight to modern day space travel, students view flight milestones while being guided through The Great Gallery and Red Barn exhibits with a Museum Docent who highlights pivotal innovations in aircraft engineering and design.  1 hour docent led.

$7.00 per student, chaperones are free.  In registration, please indicate program/age level.
